As a
beauty and health consultant I became aware of the health
risks associated with synthetic chemicals used in skin care
products.
Whatever we
put on our skin enters the body through our pores, then
travels through the entire body via the circulatory system.
Therefore it is equally important to scrutinize ingredients
when selecting body care products just as one does when
choosing food.
As an
herbalist I have an understanding and appreciation of
nature’s plants. I believe by going to nature for our
beauty care we can nourish the skin in a totally wholesome,
non-toxic, risk free manner. My guiding natural principle
is to give the skin the nourishment it needs and it will
balance and rebuild itself.

Why I started Garden of Eve Skin care

Although I’ve lived a life focused on good health practices,
I had the experience of working in a “sick office”
environment. When the office suite was refurbished using
toxic carpet fibers and glue, my health became seriously
challenged. I developed chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, arthritis, a wide range of chemical and food
sensitivities, and borderline diabetes. I knew I had to do
something quickly to regain my health.

I began to study and experience every method of
detoxification and repair that I thought might help. I
studied Oxygen therapies, Mineral nutrition, Enzyme therapy,
Raw food enzyme-rich therapy, and essential fatty acids.
After my study of raw food nutrition at Hippocrates
Health Institute, it was a natural progression for me to study herbalism and, in turn, essential oils and aromatherapy.
In my work as a health consultant, numerous clients came to
see me with “stubborn” symptoms. I always spoke with them
about creating a plan to eat natural foods – free of
synthetic ingredients and preservatives. I then addressed
the importance of |

avoiding
exposure to toxic chemicals at home and in the workplace.
Even so, some people suffered persistently from mysterious
rashes, asthma, bronchitis, nausea and headaches until they
replaced their toxic body care products with ones that were
free of harmful synthetic ingredients.
At this point, I knew it was important for someone to
manufacture and market “clean products.” Knowing that
essential oils have been used as potent beautifying agents
since ancient times, I immersed myself in developing pure
products with therapeutic properties.
And…so began Garden of Eve. |
