What difference does this translate to for the consumer?
Small green organic hand crafting companies are producing products that are inspired by a heartfelt desire to produce quality products that are not at all harmful to people and our planet. They usually go the extra step to ensure the superior quality of each ingredient, the perfection of each finished product, and that their customers sense that they are being cared for as individuals. Personal contact with the producer of a product today is only experienced with a small hand crafting company. This interaction creates a personally satisfying experience for both the consumer and the producer.
Will larger corporations mimic this with their marketing?
It has already started. The ‘Green concept’ has become politically correct. It has been recognized as a marketing advantage. In the world of marketing innuendo and vagueness can be misleading. Since there aren’t definitions and standards set for what originated as a desire to maintain and identify wholesome production and marketing practices the terms natural, organic, green, sustainable have become more often marketing hype rather than an indication of quality and purity.

The best informed consumer is one who compares products. The quality and purity difference is obvious. You will find that small handcrafting companies usually don’t offer free samples. They have more expense and less profit margin in their products. However sample sizes can be purchased for your comparison. The unfortunate consumer is one who is duped into believing marketing hype and probably doesn’t get to experience the true purity and quality that we all deserve.
